Slack

Welcome to Quash’s Slack Integration Guide! This document is designed to help you effortlessly integrate Slack with our services, ensuring a smooth flow of information and enhancing your team's collaboration.

Follow the steps below to integrate Slack into your workflow and, if needed, disconnect it.

Connecting Slack with Quash

Integrating Slack allows you to receive notifications and updates directly in your chosen Slack channels, making sure you're always up-to-date without leaving your Slack workspace. Here's how to set it up:

Step 1: Access Settings

  • Navigate to Your Profile: Start by clicking on the profile button located typically at the top right corner of your screen.
  • Go to Settings: Within the dropdown menu that appears, select the "Settings" option to proceed.

Step 2: Integrations Page

  • Find Integrations: Inside the Settings menu, look for a tab or section titled "Integrations." Click on it to continue.
  • Select Slack: You'll see a list of possible integrations. Find and click on "Slack" to move forward.

Step 3: Integrate Slack

  • Initiate Integration: Click the "Integrate Slack" button. This action will redirect you to a Slack authentication page.
  • Choose Workspace: On the Slack page, you'll be asked to select the workspace you wish to integrate with our service. Make your selection to proceed.
  • Configure Options: Configure with Save configuration to save the selected fields.

Step 4: Complete Integration

  • Integration Success: After selecting your workspace and granting necessary permissions, the integration process completes. You'll be redirected back to the integrations page on our platform.
  • Verify Channels: You should now see the Slack channels that our "Quash Messenger" is part of. If no channels appear, it may be because "Quash Messenger" hasn't been invited to any channels. Please invite "Quash Messenger" to the desired channels. For inviting the messenger, you can use the /invite @Heimdall command or add it manually.
  • Channel Selection: Finally, select the channels linked to the apps where you want notifications or tickets to be sent.

Congratulations! Slack is now integrated with our service, allowing seamless communication and updates within your selected channels.

Disconnecting the Slack Integration

If you wish to discontinue receiving updates in your Slack channels from Quash, you can easily disconnect the integration. Here's how:

Disconnecting Steps

  • Go to the Slack Integration Page: Navigate to the page where you initially set up the Slack integration.
  • Click “Disconnect”: You'll see a "Disconnect" button on the Slack integration page. Clicking this button will immediately cease the integration.
  • Integration Discontinued: Once disconnected, you will no longer receive tickets or notifications in your Slack channels from our service.

By following these steps, you can manage the integration of Slack with our platform according to your team's needs and preferences. If you encounter any issues or have further questions, please consult our support team for assistance.
