# Slack

> Once connected, the Quash bot posts a welcome message in the selected channel confirming the integration is live.

## Connecting Slack

1. Go to your profile → **Integrations**.
2. Click **Connect** next to Slack.
3. Log in to your Slack account if prompted.
4. Authorise the Quash bot to access your workspace and click **Allow**.
5. Select the Slack channel where you want to receive notifications.
6. Click **Complete**.

Once connected, the Quash bot posts a welcome message in the selected channel confirming the integration is live.

## What the Quash bot sends

| Event                     | What gets posted                                |
| ------------------------- | ----------------------------------------------- |
| Suite run completes       | Pass rate, number of failures, link to report   |
| Suite run fails           | Which tests failed, device used, link to report |
| Task run fails            | Task name, failure reason, link to report       |
| Cloud device disconnected | Device name and reason                          |
| Cloud device available    | Notification when a queued device becomes free  |

## Changing the channel

1. Go to **Integrations**.
2. Click **Settings** next to Slack.
3. Select a different channel from the dropdown and save.

## Disconnecting

1. Go to **Integrations**.
2. Click **Settings** next to Slack.
3. Click the **✕** button.

The Quash bot is removed from your workspace and all notifications stop immediately.
